Directions

DO NOT FOLLOW OTHER INTERNET OR GPS DIRECTIONS

As you come into Townsend on Hwy 321, you will pass some shops on the right called Apple Valley Country Stores.  About one mile past these shops you will turn right at Campground Methodist Church, where you will also see a yellow and black sign pointing you to Tuckaleechee Caverns.  Follow the signs to the Caverns, keeping to the left everywhere you have an option.

If you "0" in your trip meter as you turn right at the church, you can follow these distances:

• At 0.7    - Turn left at Tuckaleechee Methodist Church Cemetery
• At 1.4    - Bear left at Davy Crockett Riding Stable
• At 1.8-9 - Keep to left
• At 2.3    - Pass Caverns on your left.  Road narrows and goes uphill.
• At 3.0    - Turn left onto School House Gap Road.  Before turning, look to see if anyone is coming out.  Let them exit before you turn.  This road is narrow, but people are generally good about pulling over for you.
• At 3.7    - Our driveway is on the left (1263 School House Gap Road). Take the right fork when the drive splits.
